Still no portal or carwings access. Very annoying, cant precool in these summer temps. A week ago I was preheating my French Leaf using carwings. Mornings were at -6 to -8

Gotta wonder if anyone is actively monitoring the service or do they wait until someone complains and then reboot the server? It was down for about six days, I mailed Dean about it today and it started working again. I'd like to think it was because of me but it probably wasn't.

I can login CARWINGS but cannot retrieve car information (i.e., current charge %, range) today. It used to be working at home but not today. I tried it in a few places and still no luck.
Anyone having the same issue?

Yeah it's not working for me either. It seems to be down every other weekend these days. Someone must be taking the hamster turning the wheel home on weekends.

Working for me.
What!!! I have dropped to number 3 in the regional rankings! Time to clean the car to get all that drag creating dust off my baby.
Still number 1 for Australia though.

So after taking delivery of my new leaf, a few days later the login details were received from the dealer.
Excuse my confusion but this is the one starting with an 'X'.... I have been able to login into the website portal provided in this thread however there is no information showing about battery status, power consumption etc with it showing a red error. I am able to view my carwings details with that username starting with an 'N'. What is that used for? Whats confusing me is that I'm able to log into the website but there isn't data available to view? Could this be a problem from the cars end with regards to being activated that other people have mentioned? How I am able to check the car is in fact activated?
When driving around the GPS will auto update at random times with charge stations, should it be doing that if not activated? I am also unable, like others, to use the Nissan leaf app with the reported white screen pop up. Opening and closing as being a solution doesn't work for me. I've also tried the leaf spy app and cant log into that one either? Are the credentials the same for the apps as the website log in?
Apologies for the rant and multiple questions but like others this is driving me round the bend and any help would be great.

It seems that your dealer set up your carwings properly.
There should be a 'Carwings" image on the left of the CARWINGS account details (search for "Username: N....". The image has a blue background colour.
Click on this image and it will open the Carwings for your car on a new browser window/tab and you will see your data (such as power consumption).

I've also tried the leaf spy app and cant log into that one either? Are the credentials the same for the apps as the website log in? Leaf Spy has nothing to do with Carwings - it connects through a bluetooth or wifi sender that recognises CAN bus protocols, that you need to buy online, then plug into your OBD (on-board diagnostics) port under your steering wheel. Have you done this, and if so, what kind of sender are you using, bluetooth or wifi?

Thanks for the responses so far guys. I dont have anything connected to the OBD re leaf spy app so I've been confused about that clearly When I click on the blue car wings button it takes me to a page that says "the service cannot be provided. Please try again or contact Nissan?" Is this a common error?

In the meantime, you can check if your car dealer had put in the Carwings username (starts with N not X) and password in your car.

Where do I check that? I have gone through the menu screens while trying to work out a solution but didn't come across this info.

Where do I check that? I have gone through the menu screens while trying to work out a solution but didn't come across this info. Menu button on the right side. Carwings icon. Carwings Settings icon. Security Settings button. This will show you your user id for the car. It should start with an N...... If that's all there it may not be activated yet at Nissans end. I know mine took a week to work when I first go my car. Also LEAF Spy app connects with the bluetooth OBC connector. You need to use the LEAF Link App as an alternative to Nissans Carwings app that currently doesn't work. Confusion averted?

Thanks for that but now the next problem...... When I put in my carwings details and press to activate the security settings after a short period of time it comes back and says you need to activate a carwings account? Some confusion averted, more created

I found that my driving records are updated to 3rd March only. It should be updated to around 6th March.
It may be an indication on issues in background process. This may explain why the account is not activated on Carwings.
I would contact Nissan 1800 LEAF EV (5323 38) or Nissan_LEAF@nissan.com.au

I emailed them last week on Tuesday, but no response. I've got a Car Wings login from the dealer on March 8th, and have been able to go in and change my name and password, but there is no data. Has anyone had this sort of message? Big red box saying: Error, no battery status records found for this vehicle.

I had/have this exact problem at the moment. After giving Nissan a call it was suggested to take the car back to the dealer like someone else in this thread had to do. After investigations it seems that the car/sim set up is working but there is some software issue that is resulting in the error you're experiencing. This needs to be fixed on Nissan's end and I have been told that they're working on it and I will be notified when it's fixed. Since having the car at the dealer a few days my carwings login details dont even let me login into the portal so not sure what's doing there.
This has been an ongoing issue since I bought the car, it has not been working since delivery so it's becoming frustrating. Other than carwings I love the car and haven't had any other issues. Just wish they would sort their shit out as it's one of the advertised features of the car having remote capabilities. Any who maybe give them a call, rather than email, they should be aware of your problem fairly quickly seen as I'm hassling them about the same thing currently.

I wonder if they are going to charge us for such a service after the three years free carwings service period expired. Leaf Carwings will stop working in Australia on 1 Jan 2017, when Telstra turn off GSM. 21 months to go. The cellular module in the Leaf is 2G (data transmission uses GPRS which is why it is so darn slow) and has a Telstra SIM in it. When GSM is turned off, the antenna icon on the map screen will show no bars &/or "no service", no data can be sent or received, and that will be that. It will also impact things like charging station updates, etc. However GPS will still work, it is separate, and doesn't rely on a mobile phone subscription.
It might be possible to replace the cellular module in the Leaf with something more recent (e.g. dual band 700/1800 MHz 4G!!) and put the SIM of your choice in it. Something like an Optus SIM using a data sharing plan - since the incremental data the Leaf generates and consumes is minimal and would not, therefore, cost you an extra cent on your main data plan.
Has there ever been anything in overseas forums about this? I don't even know where the cellular module physically is in the car, and whether it would accommodate a generic cellular modem or whether it has to be a specific form factor hence an after-market substitute that would fit might be hard to find.
