Anyone have clicking noise with their Leaf when you drive slowly from complete stop (and vice versa), especially reversing? I thought this is a normal sound from the brake caliper, but looks like it's a genuine issue. I've bumped to this thread by mistake. They mentioned something wrong with the front bearing. Anyone had same problem? I hope mine is still under warranty

rusdy, I had a knocking sound in the front right when turning at low speed, when driving off from a stop, etc. I just told them at my last service and they fixed it at no cost. I think the guy said that there was some movement in some sort of mechanical widget. Apparently, they just bolted it down nice and tight. No more knocking sound. Now I've started noticing a similar sound on the front left side. I wonder whether these sounds happen all the time in ICE cars but get ignored because the noise of the engine drowns out the knocking sounds?

Yes, mine has this. It is the sway bar link pins. I have been quoted $246.55 to have them replaced. I am waiting on a pollen filter door to come from Japan and then I will have them replaced.

If it is swaybar links you can measure them and get a replacement from whiteline or similar cheaper than that.
How many klm on the car Rudsy and Les?

BTW I wouldn't expect swaybar bushes to make a noise driving on level roads. More likely control arm bushings but you would need a mechanic to put it on a hoist and check. despite how our car has been used we have no clunks which is nice.

Mine is 47,000km. I think I'm just a wee bit too paranoid when it comes to servicing, i.e. overcharged on something that I don't need. I guess I'll bite the bullet and report the 'clicking' noise anyway when it comes to next servicing. I've been naughty and hasn't service my car since 30-ish thousand kms.
