If there's two things that should never be put together it is timber and a motor vehicle. Sorry, I really dislike woodgrain panelling in a car. I truly don't get it! But, each to their own!

At the risk of offending some in here who don't like the idea, you can ignore the post Attached are some pics of the new wood grain dash. I like it, the better half is not so sure. It is fiddly and time consuming, they supply the cleaning wipes and 3M adhesive enabler. This is the remin kit, in a year or two you can still take it back off with no damage.

It looks well thought out, and similar in other finishes could hide the light scratches beginning to appear on the piano black as standard.
On the same subject of finishes. The Gear knob has a pleasant blue frontage to it. I'd like to see a faint blue back-light to it. Anyone else thought the same?.
Another one is an Auto-dim rear view mirror. Aparrently in some countries. I have two, one with in built vides HD screen, and one without, both with home link facilities. Anyone retro-fitted one. I'm in the process of wiring it in this week. The connection doesn't look like rocket science, and similar to the car I took it out of, the access to the loom is the hard part. I'm guessing the roof console fixings are inside, and a guess is behind the map lights, which, and include now LED lighting throughout the interior, and position lights..... Which I'd like to do to the front & tail clusters behind the obvious places used in the US. I just can't figure out if the loom on the US version has the connections only. If this is the case, I'd better not touch until warranty expires. Thoughts?.
