I tend to do things in piecemeal. didn't ask them how much a 2nd EVSE costs. At least $1500 is my guess from BMW's pricing. Haven't even looked at the plug
Somehow they seem to be a bit pushy. Don't get this vibe from VW nor BMW cos possibly they guess that I may be buying a car from them? Could be a reflection on their clientele. Audi Drivers tend to be in a hurry i.e. tailgaters Probably Type A personalities; agressive extroverts.
Have asked their marketing rep Carolyn Hamilton-Ducroz for a display car for the EV Festival on 4 Oct.

A guy at work ordered one, then test drove it and was unhappy. So didn't buy. I am not sure how they sold the idea, but he said it was super boring

I wonder if it'll eat into i3 sales? Slightly cheaper, more practical and more conventional looking. I like the innovation of the i3 but that might not be enough to sway buyers.
About 48 i3 were sold in the first quarter of this year.

the international outlander phev has range of 55 km n has CHAdeMO. PHEV needs 12kW battery vs audi 8.8kW to have approximately the same EV range.

Yes I saw the Outlander had Chademo and thought that quite strange. If we had Fast chargers at shopping malls and such I can see a benefit maybe but ours are few and far between so it seems weird you'd drive to a Fast charger to get 15 minutes charge.

I think I might set up a test drive of the e-tron next week. Feels like a better value proposition than the i3 - even though the i3 is way cooler.

Reason is that people in Japan n London live in apartments so they charge up at lunch time
Phev n Etron are definitely better value
5 seats n cheaper

More like $70,000 drive away. Cheapest one on carsales at the moment is a demo at $67,000 with 1500 kms on it. Of course you may be able to cut a deal if you went in.
