I was just at the Nissan site, and the price is still the same, but no mention of the great finance offer. Perhaps it is just an omission, or perhaps they've "decommissioned" the 0% finance deal. Just made my first payment on the car yesterday after a month, and it was such a good finance deal.

So for example, if you bargain with them to get the car for $35K for finance then you will pay only $35k in like the period they ask you to pay and no more? I never brought a car on finance before so I be interest if this is a good option.
But if you give a car salesman cash he'll knock another $2000 dollars off.
Cheers Joseph

I'm not sure whether they'll knock off more for cash - all you can do is ask. I don't think the price was negotiable when I bought the car at 0% finance, but I did pay $39 900. The finance goes for 4 years, and then there is a balloon payment at the end.

So thats all you paid was $39,900 and no more? What is the Balloon payment? Just wanted to know so if I have this option next year, I might jump on board onto it. Thank you

Yes, they included floor mats and two free services in that price. This was my first experience of car finance, but my understanding is that often loans go for four or five years, and then at the end of that time, there is a payment of any outstanding amount to be paid. Some people might then refinance if they don't have the money. In the case of my loan, that will be $15 000, but it would have been more if I was paying interest. Probably the best idea is to ask the dealer what is on offer finance-wise.
I doubt that this model of the Leaf will still be for sale next year, as they appear to be getting towards the end of the stock. Whether Nissan will bring in a newer model, when and at what price, is unknown. The 2012 model was discounted heavily because of low sales in Oz, although I've read that 60 000 Leafs were sold worldwide last year.
