I am going to face an uphill battle swaying my circle of ICE revheads and techos who aren't very conscious about zero emissions. Should be fun! they will probably be more impressed with the tech.. And give me grief with range limitations.

And give me grief with range limitations. Just put them in the passenger seat and put your foot to the floor. That converts them

LEAF outclasses the 20th century junk in many ways. Range limitation is not an issue if they compared apples with apples. Imagine if we had charging stations!.
Range issues. Now realistically, how many really use the 600-1000km fill on a daily basis. I had this out with one person, and proved it was in his mind. Indeed, at present, distance is marred by external factors, but if the petrol stations began to vanish, would the soot-pumps be so readily used just for the hell of it?. People would plan, prioritise & consider their travel more logically. Traffic would be lowered on the roads, less accidents by stats, less speeding, less needs for fiddling government 'new roads & infrastructure... the list goes on.
Many people cry poverty, yet continue to wash money down the drain in the obligatory & mandatory 'gotta have, need to have & part of being' vehicles, and often forget about the dangly items below their butt. Aparrently if one doesn't have a car they "could, but not really that often" travel for large distances, they consider themselves to be a failure, yet a car is financially one of the worst investments one can readily make.
I must go out and buy a 4wd, cos I know I'm gonna be off-road most of the year.... ish.

Sheer presence attracts attention. A comment often turns into awe as one explains what they are, and next question always follows of " why are they so hard to find then?". Word of mouth beats media as we know it. Had a sun-blockers passengers incensed by ours in a traffic jam last week, and what was sad to see and hear, and we often hear is from kids and late teens asking why their parents can't find one. These are the future populous, and yet know so little about the technology.
