Now that our forum has gained a bit of momentum, I thought I'd ask if anyone was interested in making it Ad-Free? Personally the ads don't bug me very much, but I think we would all agree not being offered car loans and weight loss pills every time we log on would be kind of nice. If we did decide to go Ad-Free the cost would be about $100/year. It would be completely voluntary, but if 10 of us threw in $10 we'd have our first year. So just gaging interest and zero pressure, just thought I'd throw it out there for discussion. Jim

I did not even know that there are ads on this forum... but of course I use AdBlock with my FireFox.

I don't find the ads to be much of a problem. This format seems to be a good compromise. At least there aren't ads for "enhancement" products :-) On the other hand I don't mind putting my hand in my pocket to help with costs of running things, so if enough people volunteer you can count me in.

Ditto, if it means showing support I'd chip in. Even though I'm using Adblock on Firefox as well.

Not keen to pay to remove something I don't see. I know I am using Firefox so I must have Adblock too.

Good stuff. Yeah, I'm not fussed at all, just wanted to throw it out there!

For some strange reason my eyes go straight to those beautiful machines in the banner, then hop, skip and jump to the Forum content, so the ads don't fuss me. Hope the advertisers aren't reading this, or they may withdraw their advertising money.
