www.pluginrecharge.com/2012/03/nissan-leaf-owners-review.htmlI get static elec shocks in the imiev <edit added this 240114> "Non-Shocking Seats. While I love how the fabric for the seats are made from recycled water bottles, I HATE getting shocked each time I get out of the car when the humidity is dry. Can't Nissan weave in some semi-conducting fabric so this doesn't happen?"

My sister's Honda Civic used to have have the same problem. I found the trick to avoiding shocks is to hold on to the door before putting your foot on the ground.

My wife gets that in the LEAF, I dont. Weird. Maybe I am really that 'insensitive' as suggested

No one has ever had a static shock in our LEAF as far as I know.

No one has ever had a static shock in our LEAF as far as I know. Nor mine.

I always got major tingles with the 17" MacBook. Was very disconcerting though considered normal!

I have had just one shock - it's a particular shirt. "Different shirts, different shocks" [ Bad paraphrase I know ] But I have had shocks from all cars at some stage. I have had the same issue with my previous MacBook G4. It had me worried. I needed to upgrade but discovered the same issue with the current MacBook Pro, not as obvious. Adds weight to have separate keyboard? I also notice a tingling in all mobile phones when they are transmitting. The iPhone the least apparent. But I am a little odd. Since a basketball injury to the right elbow I can sense high EMFs from hidden, high voltage mains transformers within that elbow joint. Go figure!

Are my hearing aids EMF detectors? When I have them turned on to the setting I use for the phone, I get a fuzzy sound whenever I am near any electrical wiring, especially loud when I am near my meter box, to the extent that I had to move my bed to the other side of the room so I can use my phone in bed, because my meter box is on the wall just outside that wall in my bedroom.

No shocks from our LEAF, other than how addictive the LEAF is.

I did get a shock once or twice. Not often enough to be concerned about it.

I do get then about once every 2 to 3 months. But I've got them from our old FFB too so not too surprised.
The only difference is the unjustified thought that there is so much more electricity in it to shock !!

Although I know the LEAF isn't the cause of a static shock per say, you know it being electric and all, but I got my first today after 15 months. It's was a big one! I jumped out and closed the door, as I went to press the handle button to lock the door it shot into my finger, but it didn't stop there, my other hand was about to touch my face, for what reason I have no idea, and the finger closest to my face zapped me at the same time both quite powerful! Must have had a huge amount of pent up 'static electricity' in me today. So I jumped swore and then thought I must post it.
