Well, as I said to a friend the other day, my EV is saving me (after just 8 weeks ) an estimated energy saving between $2200 and $2600 on energy costs. Then about $500 - $1000 on annual servicing cost. Any other car save you money other than a hybrid?

hybrid doesn't save you on servicing. downsizing will always save you money from a v8 at 15l/100km to a 3 cylinder at 4l/100km will save you money, you don't have to by an EV to save.

I wasn't talking about saving money. I was talking about investing, where you want a return on your money. I was thinking about investing in charging equipment as discussed in the paper being prepared by 4 of us for the investment market to get governments, businesses and individuals to see the value in investing in EV charging equipment in public places.

Whoops - sorry Phoebe. True about infrastructure, get in early, set up sites and wait for the custom base to grow. I'd imagine E-Station are believers of that.
