I read through the report this morning, it's all stuff all of US already know. I guess the issue is getting the info out to the wider public.

of course electricity companies want Electric cars, then it's there product we are purchasing what I want to see is them invest more than just a website. at least as far as i know ausgrid are still letting there staff borrow the i-miev for 3 months on rotation.

It's interesting, power companies seem to think EVs will increase electricity usage. But the opposite is actually the case. The increase in electricity use to charge our EVs is more than offset by the reduction in electricity used to refine oil. Not to mention the other electricity used to transport and distribute oil and petrol. And that doesn't even consider the energy in the oil - we could leave that in the ground too. Of course the power companies would make more money even so. We buy retail, but the refineries would have to get a bulk discount. Attachments:

we are about to close down the east coast refinery leaving only active ones on the west coast. petrol can be imported refined leaving the energy retailers out of the loop.
