This follows the previous post - the 2 together give the complete picture.

I read both my import and export readings immediately before and after I charge my LEAF to work out what power I have used for the charge. Jim these are culmalative readings.

the first image phoebe is a light/LED check to make sure the meter read is actuate not just a broken bulb or in this case LED, it should light up everything on the display.

Looks like you import a lot more than you export, Jim. I try to export 3 times as much as I import because I pay them more than 3 times as much as they pay me. My recent electricity bill was $18.96, so I'm not doing too badly, with that equation.

Oh yeah. You've seen the size of our house, plus we run two businesses from home and have two teenagers! Our bill is still massive but the solar has made a really good dent in it.
I do want to conduct an energy audit of some kind, which is why I'm trying to get my head around it today.
We're on the 20ยข tariff so for us it's only 1/3 more for peak.
I think we originally calculated we would need a 15kWh system on the roof to fully cancel our power bill! One day that may actually fit on our roof and be affordable. At the time of install the sweet spot was 6.1 for us. 26 panels.

If you didn't know all these meters store the electricity usage in 30 mins blocks and you can request the data from your energy retailer, some even have it already in pretty graphs on the website see attached. for those in victoria the data is sent wireless every hour, to the retailer in NSW it's collected when your meter is read.

Very pretty. Being a little old lady with time on my hands I just read the meters on my switch board myself - it doesn't take a sec.
