I don't think Mitsubishi and Nissan will be the only people to support CHAdeMO, even BMW are going CHAdeMO for the Japanese i3. the more CHAdeMO chargers in the wild the harder it will be for CCS to get off the ground.
I like Tesla but i hate that they've locked out other cars companies by going with there own charging standard.

Tesla seems to use what ever they think gives them the biggest advantage in any given market - eg: "It’s also worth noting that IEC61851-23 doesn’t include either the Mennekes Type 2 Charging connector within its standard. While the Type 2 charging connector is primarily designed for AC charging connectivity, its own specifications does allow for DC quick charging, which explains why Tesla Motors uses a modified version of the Type 2 connector on its European DC Supercharger stations." and "Of course, this isn’t the first time we’ve seen electric cars change charging connectors for different export markets. While U.S. Tesla Model S owners have cars fitted with Tesla’s own proprietary charging connector, European owners have cars fitted with a modified version of the Mennekes plug found on cars like the Renault Zoe and Smart ForTwo ED. When it launches in Japan in coming months, the Model S is also expected to ship with a CHAdeMO-style connector to allow it to use the countries extensive network of charging stations." Also given that CHAdeMO has a lot of traction in the US, I think in the coming years this lack of consistency will come back to bite them. Cheers Mark
