Yeah, I'm sure a lot of us would, but I think it's much more important to prove that a 100% electric is viable.
The argument for most people is they think they will still need the petrol, hence it should stick around.
I say commit to electric and move away from petrol completely. We've shown that, other than out of town trips, it's 100% viable, and in the next couple of years I think we'll see the range skyrocket.

It adds weight to my personal posts and letters I've written to Nissan asking for a tow-behind range extender, hireable from dealerships, for my 2 country trips a year. Then "Wot is Range Anxiety" if they had them. No need to have two engines carried around for most trips!

When my warranty runs out - well - I may enlist my defence engineering friend to assist - he builds generators for the forces. Compact ones. He was happy to help for a DIY conversion I was planning.
