Hi Folks My recently acquired 2019 Leaf+ has vague steering. On the highway it has to be constantly corrected and if I provide input i have to wait and see where it is going before I know if it was the right input. No feedback at all. I have had new tires and it seemed worse after that and then another wheel alignment which did improve its wanderlust a bit but still not a comfortable drive. Tiring and not a pleasure to drive especially in a crosswind. Is this normal? The new tyres are Toyo 205/60/R16.

I haven't driven a 2019 Leaf (owned the previous generation 2015), but that doesn't sound right. I found my Leaf to be very settled on the highway. You've done the basic things that I would've suggested, so it might need a mechanic to inspect for worn ball-joints or a bent steering/suspension arm. I wouldn't expect a 5 year old car to have badly worn steering rubbers, but maybe the previous owner hit something. Or has the car done a lot of kms? Is it worse over slight bumps on the highway? Maybe worn shock-absorbers causing it to be unsettled?
Might be worth taking it to eg. Pedders Suspension (they have 120 locations, so hopefully one is close to you). They advertise a $28 Steering and Suspension check, that sounds like what yours could use. Or if you want to compare it to another Leaf of that age, find a dealership that's selling one and test-drive it. Might seem like a lot of effort to go to, but if that proves your car is the same (or not), then you can avoid wasting time chasing the fault.
