Well, back when I ordered the blue front logo from Nissan I also picked up another genuine accessory. take this make these connections in the a pillar goes from this to this (sorry for the blurry!) At the same time I also replaced the non-LED globes in the car with LEDs (reverse lights, number plate lights, parkers, side indicators, front and rear indicators). I could try and claim I switched to LEDs to save power, but let's face it, it was just for looks.

So far I have only managed to change the internal bulbs and the trunk light to LEDs.

Duncan, I got kick plates too, as an option when I bought the car. But the design of mine is different to yours. And mine are not illuminated! Also I've been trying to do the lights at the back, but cannot get the mothers off. Are they stuck down with super-glue or double sided tape (Nissan seems to love double sided tape)? It should be just a matter of undoing those 3 bolts, but I'm sure there is something else holding them down. Attachments:

Sorry guys, I didn't get notified of an update to the thread.
Riddick I got the LEDs from good old ebay, the seller was brightlightautoparts and the part#s were: 2x W16W (white) = T105SMDCW2P 6x W5W (white) = T10LED2P 2x WY5W (amber) = T10LED2P-Amber 4x WY21W (amber) = T2012V18A2 4x LR12 (Load Resistors)
delivered cost was $90
They all worked well, although these days there are much better reversing lights that are serious bright...I would try them for sure
Mark do you mean the big brake/reverse/indicator unit? It was held on by bolts + clips, the clips just come out with gentle force once the bolts are gone
