Perfect locations for me. I will be able to travel to Albury and further south on the Hume Highway. There had to be an advantage somewhere that Daniel Andrews came from Wangaratta.

Euroa seems to be a a very key stop over for EV DC quick chargers. There are already Tesla super chargers there. I reckon the cafes/service stations around those chargers will get quite busy over the next few years. ‘Build it and they will come..’

They used to have Tesla destination chargers at the Euroa freeway roadhouse. I was hoping to hijack them to charge my Leaf. They removed them and installed the Tesla fast chargers in the Euroa CBD instead (no good for my Leaf).

I'm pretty sure the place you are talking about had Tesla superchargers (not destination chargers) which wouldn't have been any good for your Leaf. It's the same place as the location of these new chargers. Fortunately the new setup has 2x 350kW chargers (Chademo & CCS2) and 2x 50kW chargers (Chademo & CCS2) so a Leaf should be all good to charge there when complete - end of October!

It seems like they are really rolling out the EV chargers for the next generation of EVs with larger capacity batteries which are capable of around 250kms+. I hope they ‘backfill’ some of the longer stretches to allow shorter range EVs to travel long distances as well as provide long range EV users a bit more choice as to where they stop.

That's what we get for being early adopters... we'll still be on 15 amp outlets at caravan parks for every second charge!
