Les, are you N2002620 on Carwings? I know it's not a competition but I was just curious. I'm currently ranked third in Australia for driving distance and fourth for economy. N2002620 is ahead by hundreds of kilometres. Dude it's me! Haha. I was trying to find out how to get to that page you showed in your post for ages and finally figured it out and then couldn't find my ranking. Which I thought was funny as I sorta thought I should be with the K's I do. Then I realised I was looking at the wrong number - the N one not the X one .

My 3 years of Leaf ownership comes up soon. As the CARWINGS subscription lasts for 3 years, how much will it cost to renew?

Ahh I've found my ranking N2020068 I'm (actually my wife has the car most) is 2587 overall and 14 in Australia. The Carwings website is working for me ok but not the iPhone app - both the Nissan app white screen overlay I can't get rid off in the usual way and Leaflink gives login failed even though it is correct. I think this is since the last IOS update Anyone else with an iPhone in the same boat?

LEAF Link worked fine last night with iOS 9.01 (with iPhone 5S and 6S).
However, it is not working now. I can still login via portal.

The official LEAF app is crap. Anyone asked Nissan Australia to update their iOS app?

Anyone seen this message before? I'm not sure if there's any significance to it. It sure would be nice to have something new to play with if there are significant upgrades. Now I have to walk to my car to override the 80% charge timer because I know I'm driving further than usual tomorrow. Just my luck! Attachments:

I can logon to my carwings account online but that's all, when I try to do anything it comes up with a error " an unchecked exception occurred" and I can't do anything with it, I have to log on my second leaf soon, has anyone had this problem with the Australian Nissan leaf owners portal ?

I can check my car's charge status but I'm getting "The service cannot be provided. Please try it again or contact the Nissan help desk." when I try to look up Carwings on the portal. It was working earlier today, I'm not a fan of the white background, it looked better when it was dark blue. The Android app works for me.

I have solved some of the problem Feng, I have downloaded the latest Java update on this computer I am on now and now at least I can log onto my carwings account, both my leafs are showing up there, now I have to get my silver leaf logged on and out of delivery mode, think I'll take it back magic Nissan here in WA and get their tech to do it, at least then I know it is online. Then I'll see about accessing it with the apps. God what a process, I have never had trouble like this with any new car or motorcycle I have bought, mind you they weren't on the net and didn't have apps to check fuel level or bum seat temp or anything like that. ... HAAAAAA.

I can get on via my PC, although some sections, like route planner, seem reluctant. What's a good news feed to add? The Tesla model S does streaming radio stations I note, anyone managed that on the Leaf?

Mmmmm something to look into, streaming music ?? But I have to admit my leafs are programmed with all the radio stations in Australia and they use their GPS location to show the stations within range, I have always been impressed with that. Listen to all the radio stations in good sound quality, well as well as the sound system in the leafs can deliver. Good on you Kris.

In the States, all existing LEAF users are migrated to the NissanConnect EV.
I registered an account in nissanconnect.com.au. It asked me for the vehicle information but LEAF is not on the list. It seems that we have to stay with CARWINGS and this is okay.
However, after the CARWINGS update, the LEAF Link become unreliable in updating the status. The app will connect to Nissan but believe it has the latest status (but the status was outdated). I will have to retry it a few times. Also the "update" time is now blank.
It is well known the offical Nissan LEAF app is broken (i.e., a while popup blocking the app after status update). I reported that 1 year ago but nothing had been done.
Now, as an iPhone user, I don't have a reliable mobile app to access my car.
I emailed both LEAF Link developer and Nissan Australia to ask them to fix their app. Given my experience with Nissan, I believe no actions will be taken by Nissan Australia. I also contacted LEAF Link developer about other things months ago but didn't receive any replies.
If you are an iPhone owner (or you are not but believe we deserve a better service from Nissan) and wanted to get it fixed, I would suggest you to contact Nissan so that they know we really want it to be fixed. Hopefully, Nissan Australia still want to retain their EV customers and fix the app.

Yes I'm finding the same but if I open LEAF Link click update then go to Nissan LEAF app and then back to LEAF Link and click the update it then displays correctly - although missing the last updated time. Certainly not the best and I agree I hope they fix it. I'll put in a request for a fix as well. More the merrier I suppose

LEAF Link developer replied today. He already submitted an update to app store. Hopefully, it will be available soon.
LEAF Link Apple Watch support is also considered. However, he didn't have the Apple Watch and it is difficult to test. He planned he will look into it more seriously soon.

Just to update everyone, I now have both leafs working, my blue leaf iphone app works on my new iphone 6 and my silver leaf works on the same app on my old iphone 3 which is decommissioned and only works over the wi fi. So now I can check both cars charge status remotely and perform all the other functions, if I used them, which I don't.

There has been a lot of talk on here about rankings etc, the only statistic I follow is I record the ks I get out of a 80% charge and workout the average. I don't worry about 100% charges because I hardly ever charge to 100% but for instance, I have the silver charged to 100% because tomorrow I am taking her up to Belmont Perth so will need a recharge on the way back, probably Cockburn Gateways Shopping Centre.

Could these updates and refreshes indicate a ripple in a calm pond that is pre-empting the arrival of the next generation to Australia?

Unfortunately, LEAF Link isn't the official iOS app. I received a reply from Dean that the official iOS app will be updated end of this month or early next month.
The refresh of the website seems to be a global change in Nissan. In USA, all existing users were migrated to a new system. For Australia, we only have a refresh of the colour scheme and a new host name.
I don't have much expectations on Nissan Australia.
I hope they won't import 2016 Leaf; otherwise, Australian has to stick with that model for years.

Nissan LEAF official iOS app is updated. However, it is very buggy and the charge status isn't working. Worse still, after we login via the offical iOS app, the Leaf Link app will start failing to get battery status (failed with 9005 unknown error). If it happens, we need to login into the LEAF Owner's Portal > my vehicles > select the LEAF. Now, going back to the Leaf Link; click on the login button and Leaf Link should be able to present the latest charge status in about 30 seconds. I will delete the offical iOS app from my phone. BTW, if you are waiting for Apple Watch support on Leaf Link, I think we may need to wait much longer due to a greedy patent troll. transportevolved.com/2015/10/29/patent-troll-takes-on-electric-car-smartwatch-apps-asks-for-millions-in-damages/

I just leave mine alone, have leaf link working for each leaf on different iphones, my new iphone 6 and my old iphone 3. I'm going to keep using them till they stop working, it was very frustrating getting them to work earlier this year.

Yesterday I phoned Dean regarding the new NissanConnect LEAF app - which I couldn't get to work on my iPhone 5. He consulted the Nissan Australia IT department who suggested I delete the app and then download it afresh. I did this and it now works. This said, I still cannot get the LEAF Link iPhone app to work. Despite its recent update, I get a CARWINGS error code 9005 message. Deleting the app and downloading it again didn't change anything. Does anyone have any suggestions for me please?

I haven't tried the Nissan app again. I can't be bothered.
