Cool. Carwings is up and running again. Works fine on the Apple watch too!! imgur.com/OlfXazwUnfortunately, it is just a notification on Apple watch. I want an app to initiate & view status update, start & stop climate control and start charging. I asked the developer of Leaf Link about Apple watch support but did not receive any responses.

So it has been 6 days since I logged in to carwings but still no data...and yes it is set to upload data. Everything's working - have managed to remotely start charging and get charge/status and the information channel notifications on startup. But when I visit carwings website via the Nissan portal all my data is still at zero. I have triple checked all data upload settings are correct... And there are no error messages. Am I just being impatient? Does it take more than a week before you see data?

The data often doesn't appear until a week later, it is rarely less than 3 days old. Yours should appear today or tomorrow.

How reliable is the route planner? I read somewhere on here that it is conservative but I just calculated a trip from southport to Binna Burra which is a 45km very steep drive and it says I'll make it with 5 bars to spare... Return journey only using 1 bar because it's regenning all the way. It's a pretty steep drive and with 2 kids and camping gear on board I want to be sure I'll get there! I have a 10/15amp adapter in case I need to charge up there but just not sure if I can trust route planner. Has anyone else done the same/similar trip?

Binna Burra is a nice drive. There are constant rolling hills, so you can regen small amounts at a time in either direction. Also there are a lot of tight turns, so you use brakes instead of regen (or a blend more towards brakes). I used one bar to get from Binna Burra to Surfers Paradise, which was good. I am not sure on the charging as there was construction, so could not really see much arounds the cafe / restaurant .

Yes carwings says only 1 bar on the return trip... So 7 bars for trip up from southport is reasonable?

Yeh, that should be right. I used 9 bars to get there. But I have lost 3 bars of capacity.

Les, are you N2002620 on Carwings? I know it's not a competition but I was just curious. I'm currently ranked third in Australia for driving distance and fourth for economy. N2002620 is ahead by hundreds of kilometres. Attachments:

Yep, Carwings is down again as of 16 October 2015. This service is even less reliable than Windows Vista!!

I wonder if Dean gets spammed by owners whenever Carwings goes down? I mailed him this morning too. I also asked if a price for a replacement battery pack has been announced yet. Someone on the AEVA forum paid around $5800 for a 16kWh i-MiEV battery, I'm curious to know how the LEAF compares. There's also rumours of a 30kWh pack coming out in the 2016 LEAF. 176km real world range!

There's an owner on Carwings who consistently scores the highest driving distance and it used to make me wonder what their story is. I finally found out because he posted some caravan park entries on Plugshare as he moved from Sydney to Port Macquarie and took the weekend to get his LEAF up there. It turns out he used to commute from Mount Druitt to Bondi, about 50km one way. I was chuffed to get some closure and meet a new owner!
