Good to know it's so robust and I'm impressed that it's still on its first set of brake pads. After I parked at work this morning I touched my brake discs. They weren't warm at all!

When I fist saw a LEAF ad in Japan on a billboard they advertise it with the ability to fast charge at 1500+ times and still have over 80% health. So this claim is very believable and great to see a real life example and not a lab trial.

Thanks Phoebe for this - great story. (And congrats on your 1,000 posts!) It was a bit ambiguous with regards what they mean when the article says: "yet retains near full battery health". I've found some more info on the taxi company's twitter feed (https://twitter.com/candctaxis). I'm assuming the journalist is basing this comment on the fact that all 12 capacity bars are still present - which indeed looks like is the case from this photo: And looking at a Leaf Spy screen shot, it shows 58.87AHr, which the author goes on to say: "Managed 2 get a screen grab today showing about 12.5% loss @ 102453 with 1788 RC's 7249 L2 charges" (It looks like they are basing that percentage loss on the fact that the AHr was 67.36AHr when the car was new). In any case, pretty good going at 100,000 miles (and after 22 months). Sounds like their Gen 2 battery chemistry is a bit superior to ours, seeing the experience on the forum is that we're loosing our first capacity bar considerably earlier than 100,000 miles!
