If you want to go straight to the latest post in a thread, the LAST POST area to the right of the thread subject now works properly. Don't click on the name of the last poster or you will just see their profile, click in the white space in the box and you will go directly to the latest post in that thread. Good time saving measure!

Gosh! I never even noticed that exited before, let alone that it didn't work

Yeah, was there in the old forum, but it just brought you to the first post, not the latest.
This way you can either start from the beginning if you're new to the thread, or jump to the end if you want to check in with the latest post.

Have to check you haven't missed something else important, if 3 or 4 people have posted in quick succession.

Does it also work on iPhone ? No, they have created an alternate IOS version of the site that combines many of the fields and it doesn't do it.

javascript:scroll(0,document.getElementsByTagName('body')%5B0%5D.scrollHeight); for Ios users, create a bookmark possibly called "bottom" to jump to the bottom of the page this works on the Safari iOS browser.

Fantastic, thanks!
This is for those using phones, where you can't automatically get to the last post.
For anyone who doesn't understand what to do, if you paste the script above into the URL area, it will bring you to the bottom of the page so you don't have to scroll. Do this after you get into the post.
By saving it as a bookmark you will always have instant access to it.

Yep, I've just done that, certainly easier than plowing all the way down from the top

note that Jim's advice is OK for iPad. It is the iPhone that has a different interface.

has anyone noticed that there is an up arrow on the right to jump to the top. pretty cool feature. wish there was a down arrow too, perhaps in the next version. at first I thought it was a feature of Safari Hopefully the AEVA will update their forum engine soon(ish). at least I learn a bit about HTML from the AEVA website.

I wondered what that was for. You can jump to the end if you click on the post in the first place just next to the name of the person who has made the last comment, as it appears in New Topics.

jumping to end in the current post doesn't seem to be possible. the translucent arrow is only for going up to the top. I use Fn - right arrow on the mac

For iOS Just found that if you click on the <new> icon instead of the title of the thread, you jump to the last post. Only taken me 5 years to work this out. Only thing is that this can only be done once. As the <new> icon disappears. This is particularly handy for the “carwings” thread.
