I had some scratches fixed on the Leaf this week. It appears that the repair place did the usual and disconnected the 12volt battery as they would with any other ICE car. When I got it back the GOM read only 67km with over a half tank, strange. Also the auto up on the drivers window was not working. Fixed that after reading the manual by holding it up for 3 secs on up. Main issue is the guess o meter. After a full top up it read over 190km, never been that high before. I went for my normal saturday drive to the french cafe 37km away and when I got back I had 16km left with a third of the charge. Normally its one bar under half. No climate on as its been a nice 23deg day. So apparantly having the 12v battery off has messed things a bit. Any suggestions folks on what to do? Or will it get better and back to normal over time?
Cheers

Sounds like it's just 'reset' itself and needs to learn your style again.

I'm sure it will get back to normal soon enough I've disconnected mine a few times. There is one thing which I understand we need to be very careful of. When dealing with FFBs you can disconnect the positive and as long as the car is not running everything will be 100% dead electrically. In the Leaf the 12v battery is recharged from both the solar panel and the main battery pack (at times). So....make sure if you disconnect positive that it does not come in contact with the chassis as it might short. Simple wrapping the terminal in a rag would work....as would just disconnecting negative instead.
