Evie Networks are going to be testing their new fast charger at Tarcutta this Thursday (19th April). They are looking for a CHADeMO EV to be there to take part in the testing. If anyone is able to be there (I believe in the afternoon) with their Leaf I suggest you contact tim.harrison@goevie.com.au and work out the details. As far as I am concerned, having another fast charger on the Hume Highway will be very welcome.

19th of March or 19th of April?
I find myself looking at fast chargers along the way and questioning my sanity to take a 24kWh Leaf there from Sydney.

19th of March or 19th of April? I find myself looking at fast chargers along the way and questioning my sanity to take a 24kWh Leaf there from Sydney. Most likely March (in 2 days), since April isn't a Thursday. I would be there, if I wasn't in another state. We definitely need more infrastructure. We drove 1h15min to the Gold Coast today, and wanted to charge at Helensvale (QLD Electric Superhighway). But they were dead. Power issue on the weekend with the supply cabinet. Made it home with ---. Yarrabilba has been disconnected :/, so there's very little fast charging infrastructure remaining on the South side of Brisbane. EDIT: Just saw Davesc's reply.

I am 223km away with a 70% 2012 24 kWh LEAF. It's still Saint Patrick's in Ireland and I am not sure I would make it in time ( Legally ). Slainte !

Oh no! Is that permanent? I believe so. I've been meaning to contact them. The sales office moved a while ago, but I was hoping they would keep the charger. It's still there (at least it was a few weeks ago), just had no power. It has been taken taken off Plugshare (set to 'Restricted Access'). Can a few people contact Yarrabilba Sales on eg. Facebook? They might think no one ever uses it because there isn't usually anyone there, but I use it semi-regularly. Hopefully they'll change their mind if a few people speak up. I'd even be ok with paying for the use, like QLD Electric Superhighway is now.

Message today from Evie: "Apologies, but we have just been advised that Essential Energy have cancelled all field work on the grid as of today due to COVID-19, therefore the Tarcutta site will not be energised by tomorrow."
I guess this is going to be a familiar message over the next few months.

Update on the Tarcutta charger. I've been advised that "Essential Energy have performed the energisation of the site, and Tritium are doing their commissioning next week, so we have rescheduled the charger testing day to next Wednesday 25th March from around 2pm." I've been asked to see if anyone is able to be there with a Leaf to help in the commissioning. If you are, the contact is the same as before: tim.harrison@goevie.com.au
