Hi all,
Just after a ballpark figure if anyone knows what to expect to pay for a new outdoor 15a socket to charge a leaf would be? This would need to be on its own dedicated circuit with a 15m run from meter to carport?

Unfortunately, I think they would have to see it, to calculate the degree of difficulty. Maybe you could run a 32amp circuit so the outlet could easily be ungraded in the future, if required.

I paid about $200 for mine 6 years ago.

Mine was about $250 when I needed a 15AMP connection for my oven. I think the variable cost is the length of wire required to connect it back to your switch-board.
Mine was about 20 metres from memory. Done approx 2 years ago, your mileage may vary.

If you have a 10A outlet near your carport and are using the Nissan EVSE then just buy the Ampfibian 15A to 10A adaptor from Bunnings for $72.

Mine was $220, but the sparky charged $72 for the actual GPO. You'd be better off buying the outlet from bunnings ($15) and having them connect it. That said, my understanding is the Leaf EVSE draws 12 amps, and a standard 10 amp outlet is on 20 amp wiring anyway, but yeah, when it comes to sparks it's probably better to be safe than sorry. I can understand why a lot of people "get away" with plugging into a 10amp socket via an adaptor as long as there's nothing else on the same circuit.
When you do connect it, consider if you want them to wire it to the hot water tariff. If you plan on charging overnight (good to charge when temperature is cooler) then this could be a win, but if you have solar maybe not depending on your setup.

Pretty sure the stock EVSE only draws 10A and not 12A. I've been using a 15A to 10A adapter without problems. I think I had it trip on a very hot day but can't recall for sure.

I think the reason for a 15A plug is that it can only be connected to a dedicated circuit not shared by other appliances, rather because of the current draw of the charger specifically. Typically a 10 amp socket will be on a circuit with a 20 amp breaker, however that circuit will be shared by many other 10 amp sockets that may have other heavy drawer appliances already plugged into it.
