Good bit of sleuthing there Kim. From the description in the carsales ad, they seem to definitely be Tesla company cars and not fleet/private cars.

Yeah i was just browsing this morning - beginning to wonder if a longer range model S/X is a wiser (and earlier) investment than a 2019 model 3 ...

Yeah i was just browsing this morning - beginning to wonder if a longer range model S/X is a wiser (and earlier) investment than a 2019 model 3 ... The same thoughts came to mind but I thought with Tesla being such a tech-based company the advancements to their cars in a couple of years would be amazing. I reckon the real comparison will be when the Model 3 lands in AUS, what will the S and X be like at that point in time? Tesla has already made lots of previously optional equipment standard in the S\X and the 100kwh battery packs just came down in price by a few thousand dollars.

What always stops me from considering Model S and X is their size. Just too darn big for my liking. Even the Model 3 is pretty big... it is actually 5cm wider than my Toyota Camry which it will replace, but about 10cm shorter. It's also nearly 300kg heavier (long range model). I can hardly wait PS. Of course I have no choice but to wait... another 18 months
