During the week my wife had to drive from our house near the city out to Mt Druitt and back. We didn't think about the charge required for the trip, so it was charged as usual to 80% overnight and off she went. Our GOM on Eco at 80% is usually around 110 km. Anyway, by the time she got to Mt Druitt the GOM was down to 44 km and she was a bit nervous about making the trip back (for those of you not familiar with Sydney, Mt Druitt is not actually a mountain - it's in the western suburbs which is as flat as a tack). So for the first time she used the "find charging station" in the nav, and it suggested Blacktown public library Chargepoint. She drove there and used her Chargepoint card for the first time. Just as she plugged in, a BMW i3 parked next to her and used the second port. Unfortunately she didn't think to take a pic - a great photo opportunity missed! Anyway she shopped for 30 mins and in that time another 20 km was added to the GOM and she made it home with only about 15 km remaining and first low battery warning. So she probably could have nursed it home without a top-up but it certainly eased the anxiety. So, that was our first ever real-time off-site charging experience!!
