Sorry if this is in the wrong spot...
I have owned my little blue Leaf since 2013 and up until now I have had no wish to add anything .. but ..... as a consequence of being in another car while we were up in Sydney which was involved in a very minor bingle (scraped paint mainly) and the other person putting in an insurance claim faster than lightening, we have discovered that we have no defence without video evidence. Hence I am now looking to purchase a dash cam for both the Leaf and the other car (Magna). What experience do people have with dash cams? What are the recommended ones? Is there any brands that you don't touch with a 40' pole?
So far I am looking for something that is 12V, I can hide up behind the rear vision mirror, has GPS function and Motion detection etc.
Any help would be appreciated.

I am using blackvue which has parking mode to record any movements detected in the camera.

I am using a Blackvue too. Mine has two cameras, and all the features. Newer ones are cloud connected, can be tracked from home, and even live stream (I don't know how much bandwidth that would use, but it must be heaps). www.blackvue.com

I also have a blackvue, they don't look to obtrusive. I'd recommend getting the two channel vs one channel which means a front and back camera. The initial cost can be high, 500 ish, but if you ever need it it'll be worth it's weight in gold.
