Has anyone replaced the blades, or wipers?. One of my pet hates is bad wiper blades. So I am! considering OEM ones, but the price may be ridiculous, as usual. I know the blades are either 9 or 9.5mm, 26" & 16". One of the motor-factors theoretically had the right replacement blades, but they were 8.5mm, and didn't fit for many reasons even though the "book" said they did. I like the OEM frames, but the blades I have on them are not up to scratch, and on a rainy freeway emergency, a fraction more vision could mean safe passage.
Anyone?.

Whatever you do, DON'T use the Repco brand. I replaced my wiper heads a few months ago and couldn't find the right size in any brand other than Repco. I foolishly thought that anything would be better than the old ones on the car (they were pretty bad)... oh how I was wrong.
I've had a pretty good run in the past with Good Year wiper heads. The're about $20 each from Costco, but alas, they don't have the size for our cars.

If really prefer to replace the blades. I've learned many a lesson from assemblies that fail to follow screen contours accurately enough. An almost long shot, but I'm thinking the whole frame assembly would be far cheaper imported, then paying the massive mark-up here. What about NZ, what are the prices for them there?.

I just replaced the blades. I figured why replace the whole wiper when there was nothing wrong with it. The blades from Supercheap Auto were $17 for the pair. I can see clearly in the rain again now.

I had a set supposedly from there, and as the frames are nigh-on perfect, I went the same way. Sadly the listed ones in our SCA were about a millimetre too narrow, and allowed the blade base to flop sideways on each stroke. The base needs to be held, and the sharp edge flexes with movement. It helps keep the frame away from the glass more. I fear that if it was in need of replacement for scratches etc, which is easy comparitively being soft glass, a UV reflecting OEM equivalent would be pretty expensive.

I replaced mine with "Bosch Aerotwin Wiper Blades". They worked well.

I just ordered a set of front and rear wiper from wiperblades.co.uk The total cost came to $60 incl shipping. They are the Bosch Aerotwins.
Will update on how it all goes. I might try my hand at a quick product review and DIY for those interested.
