Where can I find more about this charging network?
One of the main impediments for me buying a Leaf is the lack of range for trips to Sydney or Ulladulla.
Does the NRMA in Tuggeranong still have their charging station?

nrma tuggeranong still has theirs I think you need to go when its open (the nrma office that is) to get the RFID tag for it. so it's marked as access restricted. but this one is located near it anyway ActewAGL Oakden St, Greenway api.plugshare.com/view/location/79068

I've got a tag for the NRMA one but it's only a level 2 charger using a J1772 plug

Does the NRMA in Tuggeranong still have their charging station? Keep an eye on electricvehiclecouncil.com.au/ ActewAGL Electricity Networks is not officially open yet. This is DCFC (DC Fast Charger ?) Level 3 station, charging at 50kW, 0% to 80% in 30 minutes (Leaf), Tritium Veefil fast chargers are made in Brisbane, Australia. The station at NRMA is a Level 2 EVSE (3.3 or 6.6kW on car charger), similar to EVSE at home. This station is disappeared from PlugShare.com

I like the orange and black colours of our Veefil in WA. Much sexier than the blue and white.
Congrats on the ACT for their actions in getting these chargers installed.

I'm finding it very hard to contact ANYONE in ACTEWAGL about this charger. I was told it's best to just go there and knock on the door?? I did get one contact and have left a message to call me, let's see what happens.

Hi all, Ok so the good news is that I drove down to Tuggeranong to have a look at the charger. I found the name and details of the project manager. I had a good chat with him on the phone. Canberra will be getting 3 DC fast chargers. 1 in Tuggeranong, one at ACTEW AGL in civic and the other will be at gold creek country club. Plus there's a plan to replace all of the unusable better place level 2 units with ACTEW branded units. There's also a plan to install up to another 8-15 DC fast chargers from Sydney to Canberra, Batemans bay and Melbourne within the next 6 months. This will enable travel from Canberra to Sydney, Canberra to Melbourne or Canberra to the coast using EV. The Melbourne stretch may be a lower priority but the coast will be doable. Brent, the project manager is hoping to have this Tuggeranong unit switched on by the end of this week. They are sourcing software this week to allow users to switch on the charger by using an iPhone or Android app. He is going to have it free at this stage but that may change. Brent will contact me as soon as they roll out the software and switch it on. I can't believe this is happening!! The Chademo plug isn't as huge as I expected and lighter than I thought. It's even lighter than the Tesla super charger plug!! I'll try and upload some photos from today. Phillip Nissan LEAF ready for L3 charging!!!!

Wow, that sounds really ambitious! Good on them! I've always wanted to drive to Canberra in my LEAF but driving to Melbourne is such a foreign concept.
Maybe one day we can have a joint ACT/NSW/VIC owners meet half way in Albury?

Wow - I hope SA takes notice. Adelaide to Melbourne with fast chargers would be brilliant - take about 2 days I guess.

That sounds great - I do the Canberra-South coast trip every week, and it's been the major concern holding me back from an EV. Don't really want to run two cars.

The Giant Storm Trooper Minion shoot my car a few bursts of energy today R&D project name Project Murrumbidgee is ready for trial. It's free for now, fee applied when network/accounting software is ready (soon). Next DCFC will be in Civic (March ?) then another somewhere at the airport.
Ask Brent for an RFID card Brent Lamont, Project Manager 'Project Murrumbidgee' Energy Networks ActewAGL Phone 02 62935801

Any news about whether the ACTEW Project Murrumbidgee will be part of the charge point network, or a separate entity of its own?

Any news about whether the ACTEW Project Murrumbidgee will be part of the charge point network, or a separate entity of its own? It's not part of the chargepoint network they obviously decide it would be cheaper without them. (it's about $400 per year to use chargepoint from memory)
