The fact the portal is down may be good news as it might mean they may be uploading and testing a fix. Fingers crossed.

The US LEAF owner portal was down and back into service again. However, our portal is still down.

GRRRRRRR It really annoys me that no one cares about us because there aren't many Leaf Owners in Australia. Why couldn't they have fixed our portal at the same time? Now I can't use any of the remote features at all. Lucky Summer is over.

In 8 months time Telstra is permanently shutting down 2G (GSM), and Carwings will cease to work for all of us. Is Nissan looking into this and coming up with any options?
Tesla use the 4G network for their telemetry!

Tesla use the 4G network for their telemetry! Nissan already has a solotion for this in the US, a replacement 3G Telemetrics unit, so it would be easy for Nissan to install the same hardware for us. Nissan are paying for some of the cost in the US, it should be avaialble to us once we get closer to 2G shutdown. The reason they don't go straight to 4G? I think its economics. Nissan are paying for the cost of our 2G connections to Telstra which would be pretty cheap and 3G would be cheaper than 4G, but they won't change our units until it is absolutely necessary.

Note that there is a significant cost to use that system and with an Iphone, Siri, Bluetooth, the Leaf can do all those things without any ongoing cost to us (at least at the moment).

HI I recently updated my android app 'Leaf Manager' after the security changes to nissan connect ev.
Just wondering if someone could test if you are able to login with an Australian account with latest version 2.43?

Just did a test and I can now retrieve battery charge status It also crashes when I go to the setting tab however.

Hmm.. wonder if that is related to me moving the id of the Australian server (when removing the Europe(alt) server from the list)
Have to check
If so it can be fixed temporary by uninstalling and reinstalling the app

I called Nissan and they said the mobile app will be updated next week. I was unable to connect to owners.nissan.com.au/portal for weeks. However, Nissan said they can connect to the portal with their browser. Anyone can confirm you can or cannot use the owners portal now? I tried to login the portal. The response on port 80 is a moved to owners.nissan.com.au/portal but then the 443 port didn't response. Please visit the owners portal and tell me if it is working for you now. I believe Nissan was not aware of configuration issues in their firewall and no Australia owner can access the portal. Thanks.

edit: that is a lot of data that I have to put into my spreadsheet, and remember all the trips I made. That should kill a couple of hours.

Yes working for me too - and I see Carwings was at least recording all the trip data while the portal was down. Now to await the updated app - it is not showing up as an update yet in the app store.

Hi all. I jusr downloaded "Leaf Manager" from the play store. Signed in with my nissan connect details and it works a treat. Charging details/ climate control. Perfect.
