For when your batteries run out of ' Go juice ' . . . . Spotted at W.A.'s Electrikhana, a gathering of electric vehicle nuts / enthusiasts, organised by the WA EV Association, and held at the RAC ( of WA ) Driving Centre - This contains an FFB motor and generator, providing both a Level 1 and Level 2 charge, with long lead and a J1772 plug. This was paired to - A Ford Focus, locally converted to be totally electric Have you ever seen a yellow LEAF ? Well, here's one - This belongs to the R.A.C. of W.A. The successful event should have changed many members of the public's views on electric vehicles for the better. David, yet again, Nissan's apparent lack of interest in participating was disappointing.

looks like excellent publicity for the category generally....and leafs are really opeing up electric cars for the mainstream.
what was the most interesting thing you saw Brian? The generator trailer seems like a good emergency recovery idea.

Firstly, the ' genny trailer ' was the most interesting. Secondly, the most appealing for an old bloke, who bumbled around in a Deux Cheveau ( Renault 2 CV ) in La Belle France in his youth, the stand-out was a beautiful home conversion to electric of the 2CV. It was also solar charged, I'm happy to report. Thirdly, the most rewarding was the very positive reaction to the performance / acceleration of the EVs by the members of the public who attended. ( Go figure, Jeremy Clarkson & Top Gear ) I had planned to take many pix and video, but found I was occupied on the circuit nearly all afternoon, giving drives and rides.
