Personally I would prefer them to look at a fast charger network around entertainment/shopping precincts in the metro area. It would be more practical and more used.

For me charging in town isn't very interesting since I generally always have enough range to get me home. I like the idea of extending the range on longer trips by having fast chargers every 80KM or so on major highways.

I agree with Jim, it's when you get out of town you have the problems and the chargers would be useful!

I agree too, although I've only owned a Leaf for 3 months, the only charger I've used is the one at home. That's because the Leaf is our city car, and so far the most distance we've done in one day is only 53km. No need to charge anywhere else.
What WOULD be useful is a fast charger network on major highways, and particularly at those service centres on the intercity freeways. That would make long distance driving feasible for us. Hoping Tesla comes to the party!

They have to make their money back somehow and at least you can go virtually everywhere on the island. I'm still wondering if I'll ever make it to Canberra in my LEAF!

Great plug for the LEAF (no pun intended). Is Tanyia here on the forum? I've seen her post on the FB page a few times.

The launch for the RAC Electric Highway is on Monday in Margaret River, about 3 hrs south of Perth. Perth Leaf owners are welcome to attend. The launch commences at 11.30am. Phase 1 is complete as of a couple of hours ago. Pics

I've been checking it out on Plugshare every few days just to see how much usage it's getting. Still jealous!

I am not sure how much force would be needed to break it, but it probably was an accident

Cable needs to be swapped. The old one then may be able to be repaired.

So now we know what Brian has been doing with his spare time. iview.abc.net.au/programs/australia-wide/NC1579H017S00And Tanya nowhere in site, although Ravolt's car does get in on the pictures, as well as a few seconds of the VeeFill at UWA (although you would need to be a regular user to have recognised it). Hurry up Queensland. Stop talking about it and get it done. (Trash talking finished).
