Hello, A new chargepoint has been installed into the Bruce Bishop Car Park, Surfers Paradise, Gold Coast. www.goldcoast.qld.gov.au/thegoldcoast/bruce-bishop-car-park-22661.htmlFrom the Gold Coast City Council ---- The ChargePoint unit has now been installed and seems to be working fine. Access is granted via the ChargePoint card, which I trust you do have. The unit is located in section I9 on the ground floor, just past the up ramp on the left. Bay marking is still to be completed, but we have temporary signage there. On behalf of the City of Gold Coast, my team and I thank you again for your interest, and hopefully others will follow your example of leaving a “greener” footprint soon. ----

LOL. Tho I think the hotels may install the Tesla destination chargers? yep Tesla are giving away their bastardized (it looks like they only work with Tesla) type 2 chargers to hotels to use.

Charging at the gold coast now. Enter from beach road, turn left after the boom gates and past the ramp. Bay I9, two spots, one charger. Is a CT500 series.

Hi Yulin, welcome to the forum. Since the CT500 can output more than what the car can take, it'll max out at 3.3kW. There are various factors like temperature, battery health and capacity but generally it'll take about six hours from flat.

4 hours will get you about 14KWh, which is about 90% from that charger

Took my gorgeous wife on a date last Saturday night to the Surfers Paradise. New Charger worked fine (thanks Les), but I forgot to hit the timer override button. Luckily, I caught that early in the evening on the Nissan app and initiated charging remotely from our dinner table. One of the two spots was TrICE'd (occupied by trailer). The carpark also has several hundred GPOs all around, but the one I tested was dead....so no obvious back up plan in the car park. Will definitely visit again.

Sweet, was there today. Trailer is still there. Owner has not come back, but the second bay sign is missing too

Just looking at the chargepont map www.chargepoint.net.au/charge_pointNot counting Tesla stations, does this map include all of the public charge points in Australia? Is there really only 28 charge points in the entire state of New South Wales? No fast chargers on the motorways? How do you get around in a leaf?

Hi Jimbo, Welcome to the forum. Try www.plugshare.com instead, it's user contributed and has more places to charge including non-ChargePoint and home sites. It does give you more options but if you intend to drive long distance regularly then the LEAF might not be suited for you.

Thanks Feng. Still very Sparse compared to other countries. Are there any major plans to expand the network?
How is the service when you need to get one restarted?
