FYI - Found on Carsales & located in Werribee Nissan, Vic - a 2013 Leaf. 26k kms, $29,990. www.carsales.com.au/dealer/details/Nissan-LEAF-2013/AGC-AD-17177205/?Cr=3I visited the vehicle today and it looks in good condition with 12 bars of battery health. I would've liked to have used the OBD2 dongle and Leafspy to get more accurate status of battery health, but ran out of time. The black leather interior is also quite neat.

Saw this appear on the site. Good price for the car I think.

Does the leather interior mean it was one of the trial cars where the sat nav etc. doesn't work?

Nup, it's Aus spec so sat nav etc all works fine. The leather interior was retrofitted by the previous owner, at great expense I'd imagine.

Looks like it's been sold. I just went to have another look at the ad as I wanted to save a screenshot of the text under "Brief Description", as it said something like "can deliver anywhere in Victoria!" in case I get any hassles in the future about getting my Leaf serviced. It's been a month since Seymour Nissan told me that Werribee would do the first service since it actually came from the Werribee stock, as long as I got the car to Seymour and Seymour/Werribee would co-ordinate getting the car down to Werribee. After a lot of phone calls, Seymour have finally told me today I can drop the car off to them next week.
Just wondering how Leaf dealers who advertise in the future that they can "deliver anywhere in.....(insert state)" will advise non-metropolitan customers how to get their Leafs serviced if the closest authorised Leaf workshop is well outside the range of a single charge.
Having said that, if I had not yet bought my Leaf, I would have pounced on this one at the price.

My wife and myself took a drive to Werribee Nissan last Friday and they had 2 Blue Leafs, a new one and this Used one with Black Leather Trims. Interestingly they were going to take us for a drive in this used one, but the battery had a range of 12km, so the sales person took us to the one with heaps more range . . . the brand new leaf that had 24km range lol
In any case when sitting in it, it did have a smell and not so pleasant. I couldn't figure out if it was a smokers car or not. The other thing to note, is the seats are black leather and it didn't seem to match anything else in the car. $28K sounds fantastic, but not sure about the seats or the smell.

I hope they weren't leaving it on such a low state of charge for a long time, that's not good for the battery. Surely the specialist there should know to keep it around half way for storage.

I don't believe they have a specialist there. Let me put it this way, no one could even answer any of my questions. Pretty sad hey.

Yeah pretty sad but at least you'll find more real-world expertise here than any Nissan dealer. Don't know if it's worth telling them about it, I'd just feel bad about the unsuspecting owners buying a LEAF with a degraded battery.

There is a Nissan Dealership near our home, so I popped in today and asked about Leaf and colour options. . . He didn't know what a leaf was. Didn't even know Nissan have an electric car!

That's normal. Only dealeships that have been specially trained know anything. I had to have special permission from Nissan head office to get my local Nissan dealer at Maitland to try and find a clunk in the back of my LEAF. He was only given permission because it was so far away from the motor. Those trained in the LEAF have to wear special gloves when working on the car to make sure they don't electrocute themselves. Nissan are very fussy about which dealers are LEAF dealers and which are not!

I think the only use of the dealer is to sit in the passengers seat while you take it for a test drive. The rest can be answered here.

That's interesting, when I viewed it I didn't notice any smell. I quite like the aftermarket black seat retrims. But yeah, Werribee Nissan have no idea. Even my local Geelong dealer that's supposed to be a certified Leaf dealer has no idea....just makes these forums all the more valuable!

I have to say even though I think most car dealers are a very low form of life this takes the cake. You work for Nissan, take your damn job seriously and learn about the products you sell. I'm just a car nut and I reckon I can name all the models Nissan sells - and I don't even sell the damn things!
