After my Test Drive of the BMW i3 I was SOOOO happy to get back into the LEAF! The BMW was squashy, pokey, stupid for baby seats in the back, felt cheap, BUT it had good acceleration. The acceleration was the ONLY thing I liked really. Made me like my LEAF even more

Test drove an i3 with Mum and my son on Saturday at Bne. Overall very impressed... Lots of techy features - the auto reverse parking was really impressive!! Didn't like the squishy space in the back - wouldn't want to be claustrophobic- windows don't open and the aircon wasn't reaching us. The only other down point was the sluggish drive... As soon as you release the accelerator power drops off dramatically - almost feels like braking. Would take a bit of getting used to I would think. I'm sure it's because it's better at battery regen than the leaf but the ride is not very smooth because of this. Mum's still keen but going to test drive Outlander phev before making a decision.
