For changes to the LEAF in the 2013 model, please see - www.greencarreports.com/news/1081547_2013-nissan-leaf-longer-range-faster-charging-leather-seats-and-more-all-the-upgradesGlad to see the light under the charge socket ' bonnet '. It was strange that such a simple thing was not part of the original model. I wonder if it can be retro-fitted - I would not have thought it would be too difficult. B.T.W., the J1772 handpiece has a small hole near the release mechanism. When charging in a public place, you can slip a small padlock through this hole, which prevents the handpiece being removed from the socket. This should deter the ' Low Life ' from unplugging / removing the EVSE, or whatever other link to the power source you are using. Another modification in the 2013 LEAF that is interesting is the smaller ( optionally faster ) charger, which is now located under the bonnet. I never could understand why, with modern electronics, the charger was so large and took up so much space between the rear seats and the boot. But, overall, I believe we ' early adaptors ' have the better car

I saw a photo of one with a rubber strip along the back of the hatch so you don't scuff the paint when getting stuff out of the boot. But that doesn't appear on the website you posted, Brian.

It is an existing accessory for the 2012 LEAF.
When we bought ours, we were not informed of all the accessories available - over a dozen.
They are contained in a pamphlet ( Nissan LEAF Genuine Accessories ) which your dealer should be able to give or post to you.
