Hi duncan, My manual is the same as yours. It shows the LHD layout and a note that the buttons are reversed on RHD. It's just the car that doesn't match this! I have a photo to show this, which also shows the steering wheel on the right side, but I can't seem to attach it to a post yet. My VIN is 200035 so it's somewhat earlier than yours. Perhaps Nissan was hand-building the first Oz cars with whatever parts were available. Incidently, when I first drove a LEAF at the Melbourne Motor Show, the indicator stalk was on the left side and the wipers on the right (typical for European cars). This didn't worry me as I have owned BMWs which are also afflicted with this configuration. I was pleasantly surprised when my LEAF came with the indicator stalk on the right which is more usual for Japanese cars. I think the Motor Show cars were very early builds used for the Victorian EV trial.
These are the joys of being an early adopter.
