Sitting at the Club assist charger in Dandenong South. Charging fine. Just left Nissan Head office a km down the road: Charged there no problems. Two chargers at Nissan and one at the Club assist spot. correcting plugshare information as you go and uploading photos ? or will you do that when you get home. sometimes my phone doesn't like uploading photos to plugshare. Yes I've been updating plugshare, and uploading pics from the iphone. It's been working flawlessly. Today though I had my own phone (windows phone) not the work one and it doesn't have a plugshare app. The plugshare website didn't want to play nice either . I had to wait until I got home to upload the pics.

Great video! Looks like fun. Any fees for charging or is still all free at the moment? Thanks - it was a fun day for all . All the chargers are still free. I paid for the parking at the Federation Square one but the charge was free. All the others I've been to have been free to park and charge.

Sitting at the Club assist charger in Dandenong South. Charging fine. Just left Nissan Head office a km down the road: Charged there no problems. Two chargers at Nissan and one at the Club assist spot. How's the access with that one? I thought it was RAVC members only... I don't know actually. There's a fence at the front but gates either side for entry and exit (they were open obviously . I drove in and the charge point is directly outside the front door. I drove past it as it didn't look like a parking spot as it had pavers and not bitumen like the other carparks which were marked visitors only. I simply parked and charged (and took some pics). Sat in the car with the aircon on. I'm not a member. Actually I don't even know what clubs assist is - have to look it up. edit: just went their website ( www.clubassist.com/default.aspx?mid=42) and they have a page on electric vehicles. The photo on that page of the blue leaf is in their charge spot but the charge unit is different.

Good to see many of us doing tours of the charging stations of Melbourne. I've found the management at Arts Centre and Museum Melbourne to be very helpful, even to the point of coming to the charging area without me asking. I now have spare Australian Blink RFID cards if anyone needs one. Also works at Melbourne Airport. Just contact me on mws1047@hotmail.com with your address and I'll put one in the post. ChargePoint is not an automatic solution to replacing Blink charging stations. The cost is a significant factor, especially post DoT EV trial and usage not being great. Solution choices are rather limited though. I've been updating Plugshare.com as well. Here is my collection of photos www.flickr.com/photos/malcolm-scott/sets/72157644783122006/Malcolm

I'm only new to the LEAF but I have plans to slowly make my way around Melbourne finding out about the charging spots we can use. This way we can validate the lists on plugshare and the like. ...... Anyone know whether the City of Kingston one exists anymore? 1230 Nepean Hwy., Cheltenham, VIC, 3192 Description City of Kingston, Admin. Building - the charger is located in the basement car park. For one of my first big trips I'm trying to work out if I can go down the Mornington Peninsula and make it home or if I'll need to hit a charger on the way back. Kingston is not publically accessible as far as I know based on discussions with the Environment Manager at the Council.
The nearest 24x7 publicly accessible charging station to the Mornington Peninsula is probably in Braeside, 45 Canterbury Rd at Nissan Nismo. The Frankston City Council charging station is not available to the public.

For instance I tried to track down the one's out East and found that although they are still listed on the plugshare site they don't actually exist at all, for example: Cardinia Shire Council EV Plug (J1772)Address 2 Henty Way, Pakenham VIC 3810, Australia Available during Council office hours. Please call 1300 787 624 to arrange a charging session prior to arrival. This doesn't exist at all anymore. There obviously used to be a bay but they've even painted over the electric symbol. The Pakenham charging station is currently at 3 Rogers St. Unfortunately Council is moving out of that property by Nov 2014. The future of that charging station is uncertain as the Building Manager and the Fleet Manager don't have a need for it any longer. I'd encourage people to write to Council asking that it be moved to a location with public 24x7 access as it's an important part of the EV highway and a reason for EV owners to visit Pakenham business district, even just to buy coffee whilst waiting

Thanks for sharing the photo stream, great info. Shame we don't have any spots further south - it would be great to be able to head down the peninsula and hit a fast charger while touring around there.

Maybe we can buy the chargepoint station off them. Or pay for it to be relocated or something....

So is the blink charging free? I assume it is given I've read the carpark guys have a card they've used for some of you guys to charge with.

I have a Blink card and the stations don't charge any fee for charging. It's only the parking fee at Art Centre, Museum and the Airport. I've inly ever used the Art Centre. Their first hour of parking is free. That's 3kws for nothing.

Saw Malcolm added a station on Plugshare at Wonthaggi - Ecolive display village. Is it for public use? They seem to have an iMiev there for their own use. This could be just what we need to top up if we go to San Remo or Phillip Island. Level 2 charger so slow but still handy (and the only one that far South). www.google.com.au/maps/place/332+White+Rd,+North+Wonthaggi+VIC+3995/@-38.4959569,145.4572886,11z/data=!4m2!3m1!1s0x6b2a0b885594c829:0xa1d4d65af68c545c
