Yesterday, when I was coming home, my LEAF decided I hadn't put on my seat belt, gave me a notice, flashed a light and screamed at me continuously. I had my seat belt on! I turned the power off, made no difference. I turned the power off, got out of the car and shut the door. When I got back in it was all still happening - I drove the 3kms home with all that happening and then tried twice more turning off the power, getting out and shutting the door, but it all made no difference, My LEAF was still convinced I hadn't fastened my seat belt. So I waggled my finger at my naughty LEAF and said ' you have until the morning to sort yourself out or I am taking you to hospital' That did the trick, it didn't try to tell me my seat belt was undone when it was done up, this morning Anyone else had this problem???

Haha, comforting to know I'm not the only one who talks to my car. Did you have any heavy items on the passenger seat? When I left my camera on the passenger seat from the meet it gave off a false alarm.

When I left my camera on the passenger seat from the meet it gave off a false alarm. my wife's car does this you put something on the seat then turn a corner hard and it applies just enough pressure to set off the seat belt alarm. but it tells me that it's the passengers seat so i know that's the cause.

We've had the seatbelt warning go off with only a purse or laptop on the passenger seat.

I did have a bag on the passenger seat, yesterday, but not today. It's never done it before and the only difference was one sheet of A4 paper and half a dozen hearing aid batteries - perhaps that was enough to tip it. I'll put everything on the floor in future!

Solution. Take the hearing aid out. Then you will just have to work on the indication on the dash board. Paint marker anybody?

Yes, Jeff, if it happened again I was going to turn my hearing aids off so I couldn't hear it. I am very deaf, which is a bugger at times, but at moments like that it is a blessing.
