Hi Mike, good to see you round. Yes those details are correct. Are we going to meet there for lunch at the cafe or are we just going to meet and mingle before going our own separate ways? The intersection of Dickens and Parkes Drive is in the middle of the park with a lot of open space. If it's lunch at the cafe, it'll be at the corner of Grand and Parkes Drive at Centennial Park Dining. See here: www.cpdining.com.au/. I prefer lunch at the cafe but I'm easy - maybe those who are interested can go together afterwards. I'll have to make a booking soon so can people please respond ASAP with an opinion. Thanks. With a bit of luck we can all park together for a photo-op but that's not important. Here's a map for reference: www.centennialparklands.com.au/__data/assets/pdf_file/0014/8402/Map_spread_only-final.pdf. The cafe is at the top of the main loop.

I've made a booking for ten under the name of Matthew at 11:30am at the Centennial Parklands Cafe. The lunch menu starts at 12pm so we'll have half an hour to chat and wait for any latecomers before ordering lunch.
Can we meet near the cafe at the corner of Grand and Parkes Drive.
Here's the list of people who are going so far, give or take: Matt, Ayla, Jim, Mark, Mike, Chris, David, Duncan, Aldo, Mark.
The last two are from AEVA.

Sorry guys, wont be able to make it on Sunday as I wont have my Leaf, it is in for Heater repairs ,they are waiting to hear from Nissan as to what to try to fix it as they are unable to find the fault. so have a loaner ICE vehicle :-( I am hoping this won't drag on too long as I want my Leaf back

Sorry to hear Chris, hope they fix it for you soon, that must be so frustrating. Maybe we'll all meet for coffee at the Strathfield QC another time.

Kris had heater problems with his, maybe you can ask your dealer to contact the mechanic at Steve Jarvin Nissan for some pointers, in case it's the same problem? I don't know if they ever share notes like that. Hopefully they're not just stalling you by spinning some story about a sick mechanic!

stalling... I doubt it unless he has to pay for the loaner ICE vehicle.

If it's a warranty job do they get to bill the hours to Nissan? Is that how it works?

I'll be there but my face will be bandaged up after having a skin cancer removed this week, so don't be alarmed!

Glad you're okay! We're down to eight of us, give or take: Matt, Ayla, Jim, Mark, Mike, David, Aldo, Mark. I've posted a message on the LEAF Facebook page in case anyone from there decides to show up. I'll revise the booking down to eight for now.

Hi,
Davina here... I'm in Lindfield. Would like to join the meet, & offer my home charger for a top-up for anyone with range issues. Cheers!

Hello Davina, Welcome to the forum and looking forward to seeing you there on Sunday at 11am (cafe booking is 11:30). That should make you the sixth LEAF there. Thanks for the charge offer, as far as I know we're all well within driving range unlike last year's trek up to the Central Coast.

Mine is still at Jarvin's waiting for a heater repair too, part won't be in till next month apparently. Can't bear the shame of turning up in the horrid little ICE loaner. Sadly looks like heater repairs in Oz are going to be a rerun of what went on stateside in 2012 with this model where they typically dragged on for months.

Oh wow sorry to hear that Kris! That's just disturbing to know it's been so long! Duncan can't make it either. Maybe next year we can aim for nine cars or more!

For those with heater pump problems, mine was fixed in a day by Mildren Prestige at Artarmon for free under warranty (I bought the car from Sydney City Nissan but did get it serviced at Artarmon in early July). It took them about two weeks to order the pump for the heater. It was installed on Thursday and works fine.

Maybe post a guard today guys. otherwise I may be tempted to turn up with a metric socket set & help myself to a working cabin heater. Undo a few bolts, unplug the 400v traction pack feed to it, what could possibly go wrong?
