did we get any more progress with other sites ? any more suggestions for other public sites? What happened to your mate at Wollongong Salvos? I've been thinking of heading south, made it to as far as the visitor centre in Bulli one night but couldn't find any outlets so I headed home.

You know what would be good - If the other sites would get on chargepoint, describing what arrangements they have, how many amps, how much it costs etc. Even without a L2 EVSE, that would be a big help. Others sites can't get on chargepoint it only has chargepoint branded EVSE on it (besides the qc at nrma) that's why i use plugshare as much as possible. it's got more information than chargepoint it terms of costs amps and arrangements.

1. Bateau Bay, 100km from Sydney CBD - Makes a daytrip to the Central Coast possible especially if you live further north. Sun Valley Caravan Park are open to the idea of hosting it. As some might know from the meet, charging at 10A was a bit slow. So we've purchased a 30amp level 2 J1772 charger for the park now the process of see if we can find enough power capacity to install it. What brand / model 30A J1772 EVSE did you end up buying?

Do you know if the aerovironment charges leaf at >16 amps?
Does leafspy or one of the pages in the leaf show how much current is going into the leaf ?
The volt shows -2kw on a 15 amp charge

$US4k for the iso charge + $1.5USk for the chademo box & cable = $A6.25k & it's only single phase. Sigh!

Their Tempe NSW store is set to have the largest solar array in Australia. I posted on their FB page that EV charging stations would be great to go with it and they said they would "definitely pass the idea on". Whether they do or not is anyone's guess.

Perth ikea crazy busy today. Just doesn't feel relaxing. But then if there is an Ev bay it will be like Acrod bay and more relaxing. Like VIP Parking.
So I left.

tested it out today successfully charged the I-meiv from 30% to 100% no issues. added some photos to plugshare api.plugshare.com/view/location/39886 . they only fitted at 32amp breaker not a 40amp as per instructions but I don't think that will be an issue until cars with bigger on-board chargers come along.

nice wish that more Tourist parks would be open to the idea in Perth. There is an untapped market. Especially for seniors who seem to be the ones buying EVs. eg. Rob who just bought the Mitsu PHEV and has rediscovered camping. Feels like a 3rd honeymoon. Some Caravan parks say that their electricity is for their residents only. The Mitsu PHEV may be ideal for those with caravans. Interesting how in California low income families are given more incentives for EVs. www.plugincars.com/california-make-electric-cars-affordable-low-income-buyers-130133.htmlSomehow there is the general impression that EVs are for the affluent.
