Because when I’m not a work writing reports I like to spend my free time writing reports. I've started a discussion white paper. on EV charging in NSW This is meant to be in a similar theme to the WA. and point out general technical requirements but more importantly advantages and benefits to whoever might be interested in investing. At the end of the day it will be the EV drivers investing. if the EV is the second car ask yourself what it would take to kick your ICE habit. docs.google.com/document/d/1S1XHRHHK_nLdM3YCJXKUfiYsGZWtlwRb97Ixm4IQaqc/edit?usp=sharing

I don't have 2 cars so I don't have an ICE habit to kick. I have downloaded the report but am reluctant to share it because there are lots of typos and things that need fixing - or is this just a first draft of something else? Had another look, perhaps I am supposed to join. I tried to join but was told I wasn't allowed to

Can't help with Canberra or Wollongong and you know as much as I do about Maitland/Newcastle so I'll just wait for final report before I share it.

Some charging ports in Perth car parks tend to be at front, convenient to all, locations and usually get filled by ICE vehicles. If the ports are at the top or back where ICE engines don't go to first then this issue would be less prevalent.

Had a quick look. There are still typos etc. Have downloaded it as a Word document. Will highlight what I think needs to be changed and return as attachment.

AnElectricNSW1.docx (12.19 KB) I can only attach documents less than 1mg so I have made changes only to the first paragraph. If you like my changes I will continue and send them paragraph by paragrah unless you give me your email address in which case I can send it all in one go.

pm with email address sent don't forget to add your name to the bottom as a co author. might take me a while to manually integrate your suggestions through.

I'd already thought I might be cheeky enough to do that

more authors especially ones with Dr in front of there names makes the report look more official (I was wondering I should of put what car I drive or what degrees I have after my name) and less like the ramblings of some crazed cashed up greenie.
It just means I have more editing to do

I might contribute after Phoebe's contributions are integrated just to avoid redundancy. You sound like you're going over it with a fine toothed comb Phoebe!

I haven't actually got 100% of phoebes fixes up in just the bigger ones but I'm back at work on Monday so time to work on it get smaller. Technically I think the report is there it covers what’s required, what isn't there is the sell and phoebe did suggest 3 documents similar in nature aimed and a different targets. state/federal, private and local councils. maybe we can just release it under a CC BY SA copyright creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/

My 3 was govt, business and idividual investors - local councils would make 4. And my life returns to normal this week, which means less time, as well.

I think the targeted approach is definitely the way to go. This is not as hard as it looks as a lot of it is reusable.
Also we need a section on where to go for more information, like AEVA, and a beefed up section of further reading.
Contact email, phone numbers.
Matt and Phoebe need to put in degrees/qualifications.
I like the CC approach for Copyright too.

sorry Phoebe I only half remembered. I would say government and private. are the big ones I don't think individual is really a category unless the individual is doing it as charity exercise this is only likely if I win lotto, odds are 8 million to 1.

I like the CC approach for Copyright too. Gab asked to be allowed to put my title Dr in as he thought that sounded good. Maybe it does, maybe it doesn't, but I don't think any more details are really relevant as I have a BA and Dip Ed from University of Sydney, which means I am qualified to teach English/History, but I have never taught. Then for many years, I raised 4 kids as a single Mum and ran a property development and rental company I inherited from my father. During that time I also helped set up a community radio station in Gosford. With kids grown and gone and company wound up, I returned to study at University of Newcastle, as a mature aged student, where I was a volunteer at their Community radio station 2NUR-FM. I wound up with a PhD in History writing about the political influences on the establishment of Community Broadcasting in Australia. How any of that is relevant when trying to persuade people to invest in charging equipment for electric vehicles, is quite beyond me. All it shows is that I can string a few words together, possibly better than some of you with Maths, Computer, Engineering and Electrical qualifications can do. But don't ask me to add 2 and 2 together, I'll probably get 5

Oh, I don't know, Gab. I probably would if I wasn't a part pensioner - it just gets too complicated trying to explain it to Centrelink
