It was a great day meeting you all and sharing our LEAF experiences. In particular I really enjoyed talking to people as they walked past and stopped to look at the cars. I think seeing 5/6 identical cars in a row was enough to cause people to look closer and then we could start up a conversation with "that's my car, would you like a closer look?" There was a solitary silver Volt parked behind us but I think hardly anyone noticed! I had several discussions with people who stopped to look. Evangelizing can be fun! It got me thinking that at similar events it might be fun to set up as a "meet an EV driver" to allow interested people to talk to people like us who drive an EV every day through all seasons and weather. We can probably answer any questions they might have. I would prefer this less formal approach to a typical Q&A session in the lecture theatre.
Just food for thought.
p.s. Did anyone else notice the irony that at an EV Expo access to the Fast Charger was blocked by the trailer of the Solar Car team?
