Aargh! First damage done to my car paintwork today. It was done by a parking sensor installer, and I was having parking sensors added to reduce my chances of damaging the paintwork, so how's that for irony? The guy was drilling the back bumper, and something went wrong, and there is now a small cross shaped crack above the sensor. He's agreed to have it fixed, and the paint protection redone. His mobile paint repair guy has said that because of the type of paint, the whole back bumper will need to be done. I'm a bit concerned about the whole thing matching. I rang up the paint protection people, and they said that they can't redo it until the new paint has been on for 8 weeks.

Sorry to hear. That sounds about right, you're not supposed to wax a car for at least a month after it's been resprayed because the clear coat has to outgas so it sounds like a similar deal. I've had my share of bumper dramas front and back so you have my commiserations.

Aargh! First damage done to my car paintwork today. We got our first bumper scrape about 2 weeks after purchase. Nothing since thank goodness.

Sorry to hear about the damage - the first time is the worst. At least it is just a matter of waiting until it is all fixed and good as new. How are you finding your parking sensors? I certainly rely on mine for backing out, and for reversing into a park against the kerb. The camera is useful when there is a vehicle right behind, but the increasing frequency of the sensor beeps as you get closer gives me a better sense of the space available.

Does anyone have any good idea about getting bees wax off a white LEAF? There must be a wild hive near work cos every day I get a few (perhaps a dozen or more) spots from the little buggers. Most of the time I scratch them off with my fingernail but its getting a bit much!
