Phoebe, I had a moment of panic when I saw your name and title together. Thought you were giving up your LEAF!
That's a good price for a near new LEAF.

Sorry Feng - didn't enter my head anyone would read it that way. I plan for my LEAF to be my last car and I may give up driving when I turn 80 in 2023, so it may be for sale then , but not before

I was wondering about this very thing the other day, how someone would value a second hand LEAF.
Seems like that's about the going price for a newish one these days.
I plan to drive mine into the ground and enjoy it for many years, which is probably the only model that makes sense!

The amount on km's on that one is somewhat similar to the Nissan 'near new' and 'demo' ones listed.
Is Cloud Nines LEAF ex Better Place..?

I bought mine on road for a very similar price from Liverpool Nissan, and they shipped it up to the Sunshine Coast. Brisbane dealer was about $8k more.

Was that the silver one? Did you deal with Alistair? I had an eye on that one earlier on but ended up getting one from elsewhere.
How's your Clipper Creek charger going?

Correct on both counts, Did message you, the CC charger is excellent, 4-6 hours to full from 1/4. Usually 3 hours as we do to 80% unless its the weekend when we travel to the mountains. Very happy with the charger. Will find out how it goes with the power bill as we have it on off peak tarif.

Got your messages thanks, sorry I missed them earlier. I'm still considering the CC charger but I'm a little paranoid about the compliance. Where did you read about the Bosch Power Max being available here?
Jim, I don't know if it's something configurable, I've seen on other sites running phpbb a popup notification of new private messages when you visit the site. I've missed and had messages missed before. If it's no trouble and can be done, can it be enabled here? Thanks!

Great to see the LEAF holding its price.
Compare this to the significant ( and understandable ) drop in price for second hand iMievs.

Hi Stewart What model is your CC Was enquiring with CC and they have the ECS-15 10 amp ECS-20 15 amp Email from will Barrett: "The total cost with shipping (duties and taxes due on receipt) would be $763.03 ($695 for the ECS and $68.03 for shipping). Either the 10A or 15A station would cost the same amount." I was thinking of getting one for the volt. Hopefully it will not trip RCDs forums.aeva.asn.au/a-closer-look-at-the-volt-rcd-tripping-issue_topic3787.htmlMy collection included a) 10A i-MiEV - $1600 a few years ago b) 15A, unit + L6-30 pigtail evseupgrade - $1050 - evseupgrade.com/?main_page=index&cPath=4c) 6, 10, 15A selectable chargeamps - $750 - www.charge-amps.com/um-evsethe following don't trip the volt d) Holden 10A - $350 e) circontrol 16A - $1790; somehow this negotiates 10A max with volt, hence I got g) f) circontrol 16A card model - $2500 I think; I use this with the volt for faster charging in public g) circontrol 32A - $1790 somehow Brian's e) unit seems to charge at 18A I couldn't believe it. Had to measure this at least 3x.

I'm having a look in all the admin settings but can't find anything about alerting PMs. Yeah, I'm sometimes surprised to see I have a message. Maybe I can play with the layout to make it more obvious. I'll also ask around and see if anyone knows more about how to control this. I know Duncan has had forum admin experience and expressed an interest in developing the forum, I'll ask him.

Will have to look again, but think its the ECS-20 then, as its 15 amp in. I have the line wired to 20 amp and the breaker is 25amp. Its been fine and relatively quick.

You can go for the ECS 25 to get full +, stores.homestead.com/ClipperCreekInc/StoreFront.bokThe English UK ones are designed for 240 volt, 50Hz, same as here and are CE compliant. CE Compliant equipment being the EU standard can be used in Australia, to be marketed in Oz it need further testing and labeling such as C-tick. Clipper Creek will configure the units from the factory to suit the outlet derated to 80% of available current. It will also have the Australian certification. I will post the email from the production manager @ Clipper Creek, Im sure Gary wouldnt mind. It explains it better..

From Gary @ Clipper Creek: Hello Stewart,
Our products operate at continuous current loads that are derated to 80% of the circuit breaker rating, in accordance with the US National Electric Code. For that reason, a unit wired up (or plugged into) a circuit with a 15A breaker would be programmed to tell the vehicle that a maximum of 12A continuous current was available. If the maximum continuous current were to match the circuit breaker rating, special enclosures would be required for the circuit breakers themselves. This would also introduce the possibility of nuisance-tripping of the circuit breaker whenever the vehicle should draw a bit more than what the EVSE is telling it is available.
If you desire to provide 15A of continuous current to the vehicle then you would need an ECS-20 and plug it into a circuit with a 20A breaker. Our current source for the AS 3112 plugs uses conductors that are 1mm^2, which are rated for a maximum of 10A. For this reason, we have to date only shipped 8A and 10A continuous-current units to Australia. In order to make a unit configured for >10A, then we'll have to look around at sourcing a suitable VDE or SAA approved plug. This could add a few weeks lead time for the product.
Best Regards,

I did write back and advise Gary that the AS 3112 also specifies 15amp and 20 amp plugs that take 1.5mm cable as per 15 & 20 amp leads. i.e. he can then do ECS 20 & ECS 25.
Hope this helps Cheers

Thanks Stewart, that's a lot of info! Are you sure there's an ECS-25? The manual only goes up to the ECS-20: www.clippercreek.com/pdf/ECS%20User%20Manual%20111117v06%20-%20Consecutive.pdf. Their online store doesn't have the ECS listed so I hope it's not discontinued. If the ECS-16 only needs a 15A socket and breaker then I find it more appealing than running conduit all the way across the basement car park for a higher amperage unit. Assuming my current outlet can be upgraded without major work, 13A charge is good enough. Can I PM you for his email address so I can enquire directly? Thanks.

Since this is the 'LEAf for sale' thread... I thought this relevant... enews-evtrials.transport.vic.gov.auSeems the Vic Government is ready to offload their trial cars. But with the sales directly through Nissan, as I'm sure they were only leased or loaned. I wonder what sort of pricing they have on them, considering they would have been treated a lot harsher than our personal ones I'm sure. I do recall thought that these models were EU spec from Ireland. Heated seats... Mmmmm.

That price is crazy. Must be the dealer just wants to get rid of it. It's a pitty Nissan AU made the dealer purchase it for a demo verses Nissan AU simply supplying the car to the dealers for demo.
But I guess if it gets someone into an EV that was worried about price, I'm all for it. Mine isn't going anywhere anytime soon so I'm not to concerned about price drops.

Yep, it is cheap! It is almost $10,000 cheaper than the advertised price of the one for sale at the head of this thread. And that was only 5 months ago! That one is sold.
