Hi all, does anybody know if leasing options for the battery pack like in Europe and the US are in the pipeline in Oz, as well? And if it is between $100 and $150/month does that even make sense? Worst case: 12 x $150 = 1800 per annum x 11 years as the aledged useable service live= $21600

I don't think we'll see it here. Not enough population and interest to create a submarket.
About the only thing it would offer is peace of mind regarding the battery, since you can swap it out every few years if needed.
In your model you might end up having three new battery packs over the years so it wouldn't be $21k for one, it would be more like $7k each for three replacements over that time period.
And if doing that made the car $15k cheaper in the first place, it would actually make a lot of sense.
I'm happy with the current model as I prefer to buy outright, but would have liked to see the same 8-year battery warranty as they were pressured to do in the states.

Thanks Marty, links are great as we all pull from different sources so it's great to share.
