Hi all, I just thought I start this thread to get ideas where people might want to meet up for a little face to face communication? I suggested a nice little restaurant called "Tosaria" www.tosaria.com.au/in Henderson Rd just off Kellets Rd in Rowville that has a big car park to park the cars in and have a chat and coffee.... ozleaf.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=everything&action=display&thread=131My friend and mechanic Detlef (Autohaus Engineering) is just down the road at number 44 (only deals in combustion engines for the time beeing and is a great bloke if your having any car trouble: www.autohaus911.com/mindex.htm

That's a lot of LEAFs!
I'd be up for a similar gathering in Sydney one day when there's enough interest.
I thought about making a flyer advertising this site and keeping them in the glovebox, just in case I come across other LEAFs parked on the street. Good way to drum up interest (or annoy people, depending on what they think!).

I'm ready for a Sydney meet up anytime Feng. We might even tempt Phoebe to make the pilgrimage, though we have proven my house is about as far as she can get before needing a charge! ;-)

It's just too dangerouse driving at 75kph on the freeway and I'd have no charge to get back home again

Maybe we can compromise and meet in the Central Coast? The Entrance is roughly halfway between us, we can find a caravan park there to charge while we go somewhere for lunch or have something on-site?

That would be 89kms each way for me with 35.5kms on the Freeway. If I did a safe speed on the Freeway (that is a lot faster than the 75kmh I did before) I wouldn't have much charge left by the time I got there, so would need a long time to recharge before I came home again. The weather would have to be just right too, not too hot, not too cold, no rain and daylight. I doubt it somehow

Happy to start a new one if there's enough interest. It's possible to do it without the freeway at about the same distance: goo.gl/maps/UoM0QWithout the freeway driving it should make the charge times realistic for a day trip.

Yep, I was just going to check the map for that. My original calculations were made not reaching the Freeway 'til the Kurri Kurri exit. I am in Brooks St so don't need to hit the New England Highway at all so I've modified your map and make it about 87kms without touching the Freeway. If you can finnd somewhere to charge up at the Entrance, that might be possible. maps.google.com.au/maps?saddr=Telarah+NSW&daddr=The+Entrance,+New+South+Wales&hl=en&ll=-32.968347,151.533051&spn=0.456829,0.891953&sll=-33.032844,151.537857&sspn=0.456495,0.891953&geocode=FSCXDP4dj0EICSnL3EdT4EVzazFA9TIWaH0BBQ%3BFWM5A_4dbKsHCSkNPPE1dM9yazGQ3jIWaH0BBQ&oq=The+Entrance&dirflg=h&mra=ls&t=m&z=11

I live over that side of town and go to work about 5k from there. With kids I have limited free time on weekends but Sunday lunch is often good for us, and I'd like to meet some fellow LEAFies (my new word ). Leigh

Leigh - have you been waiting long for a car that incorporates your name!
Sounding like we have enough for a good group shot. Shall we try to arrange for when Marty has his Cloud 9 Car - then we have an opportunity for a 4 leafies photo shoot. I'd suggest Cloud 9 may be interested in coming along too ?
Marty do you have a weekend arranged for that yet ?

I am happy to come your way or whatever you feel works best (even with family)? Lilydale Lake is nice as the kids have the play ground and can play foty ect. Or we could make it blokes only, I am easy...(that way) With kids I have limited free time on weekends but Sunday lunch is often good for us, and I'd like to meet some fellow LEAFies (my new word ).
