I have just purcased a 2016 Leaf S from Japanese auctions and have a few questions. If I have my electrician install a 15A power point in my garage and replace the Japanese plug from the cable that comes with the car with a 15A plug, will that work to charge my Leaf at home?
Where can I purchase an aftermarket navagation/radio uni to replace the Japanese one with? Otherwise, where in the Sydney area can I get my Leaf unit changed from Japanese to English? Where can I find an owners manual in English?

Yes, as long as the EVSE ("the cable that comes with the car" draws 12 A or less. You should get an "industrial" one like this installed: www.electrotraders.com.au/15-amp-single-phase-3-pin-plug-and-switch-socket-combination-15a-ip66-gen3[ Edit: it should also be on a dedicated cable; no other outlet should be on that cable. ]

Yes, the Nissan EVSE's Japanese Plug can be replaced with an Australian 15A Plug. I think it's technically not supposed to be done, but the importer we used did the swap ok. It draws 13.8A - I've measured with a Power Meter. We only have a standard 15A PowerPoint (that's what the electrician installed), but that industrial one looks really good. I think the Leaf S Headunit is just a standard Double-DIN size, so any Car Audio store will have ones that fit (or Repco/Supercheap/Autobarn etc, or online). Or google car audio installers in your area, they'll all be able to supply it and do the work, since the sizing is standard. Here's a thread from almost the same model year: https://www.reddit.com/r/leaf/comments/8tcs1q/can_i_replace_the_stereo/ For Japanese to English conversions, these guys come up in Sydney. They might still send your unit overseas to do the firmware reflash, but hopefully they'll have a unit already in stock to be installed. www.sunrisecars.com.au/nissan-leaf-english-language-conversion-service/Google is your friend, it's the first link that comes up: owners.nissanusa.com/content/techpub/ManualsAndGuides/LEAF/2016/2016-LEAF-owner-manual.pdf
