I like it. We'll see what real-world or EPA Range will be. And that's a competitive price, but I doubt it'll be that cheap once it lands here. The Ariya would be ~Au$20k less than a Model Y (I'll believe it when I see it).

I do hope Nissan will change to CCS2 fast charging instead of ChaDeMo.
That'll make proliferation of fast chargers easier and cheaper.
Although that is a detrimental effect to me, I'm not expecting my leaf goes out the city at the moment 😂

Although that is a detrimental effect to me That's what I thought as well 😂. I would like CHAdeMO to stay popular, but it does make sense to eventually have a single Plug type.

it does make sense to eventually have a single Plug type. Yes. For everywhere in the world except the USA and perhaps Canada (because they're right next door to the USA). They with their single phase mania. 🙄Edit: that's perhaps a bit unkind. Japan will likely stay with CHAdeMO, and China with their well-established standard that may merge somewhat with CHAdeMO. Certainly, it will be nice to have one plug throughout Australia.

IONITY chargers in Europe are CCS *only*, so for Nissan to launch the Ariya with 130 kW charging but no CCS support would have been a disaster for them. Similarly, ElectrifyAmerica/ElectrifyCanada sites are often 4 units, and one of them is Chademo/CCS, the other stalls being CCS only. Glad to see Nissan come to their senses here.
