My Leaf is a direct import. It is a 2015 base model. I love it! The importer installed an Android Media System (Android head) which is now not working. I am replacing it with another Android head. The installer I have chosen has never worked on an electric car before. I doubt you have to disconnect the lead acid battery to change the head. If he does disconnect it, will it cause any problems when it is reconnected? Any help would be appreciated. BTW I rang 5 installers and not one had ever touched an electric car.

The infotainment system isn't any different to other cars they have worked on. Just a 12V accessory supply from a lead acid battery. The drive motor and battery are what is different in the Leaf, but that doesn't directly power the head unit. Having done a lot of Sound System work on my own cars, I would disconnect the 12V battery before replacing the head, but that's up to them. If the ignition is off, it should be safe to do the swap. The only risk with the battery still connected, is shorting something out. Fuses should protect the equipment, but I would want to be sure and disconnect power. But in reality, there isn't really anything exposed, so the risk is low. Disconnecting the battery will just wipe some radio settings (stations need to reprogrammed etc). But since you're replacing the head with another one, that will have already had the power disconnected. So no difference there.
