rusdy have u considered an MG ZS EV ? $46,990 drive away for first 100 Aussie orders 44.5kwh liquid cooled batt 262km real world Q3 2020 delivery Hi @g4qber , I don't think I'm in the capacity for new car (never has been), so 2nd hand car is fine with me (i.e. my budget for a car never exceeded 15k, until my leaf came along and forced myself waaaay over budget ). When I got mine in 2015 for 25k (yep, I was extremely lucky as the previous owner sold it super cheap!!), I was hoping for the car to last at least 10 years. Now I know that is unrealistic ( sin of early adopters), I'm trying to count my loss and calculate the next step (my leaf range is getting into 'inconvenience' at around 80km). My gut feeling, the 10k (ish) battery replacement is it. In short, unfortunately any Tesla (even 2nd hand) will not fall into my price bracket in the near future (i.e. next 5 years). For new car (if I have the budget), Tesla model 3 (or Y) will be it. From my current understanding, Tesla is leaps and bounds in front of everyone else in term of best packaged EV (the car as a system). For a 50k new car (whether that's a new Leaf, Ioniq, or MG), I won't sleep easy knowing my car is far inferior than a 70~80k model 3. Kona... well, if I have to be honest, why not model 3 instead? Almost same price, far better car.

I took delivery of my Model 3 on Friday, and what a magnificent car it is! I haven’t actually had a lot of time to drive it the last few days, but it is so futuristic. I really like the minimalist interior. It didn’t take long to get used to the central screen. The Tesla UI is very intuitive. The regen in “normal” mode is a lot stronger than in the LEAF... it slows down very quickly if you lift your foot right off the accelerator, so that took a little bit of getting used to. The glass roof is bizarre and freaks some passengers out. I’m still driving it in “Chill” mode and haven’t really floored it, but even then the acceleration is pretty wild. Next time I get the chance on the open road I’ll stretch its legs This will be awesome when accelerating back into freeway traffic. And I’m still getting used to the Tesla equivalent of the “GOM” showing over 400 km range, even when the battery is only 80% full. Windows are being tinted today and sparky is installing the HPWC so from tomorrow I will be good to go. Goodbye petrol! I won’t miss you one bit.

My mileage has doubled because I’m using any excuse to go for a drive... sprints at the lights and entering freeways are fun but best fun is the downhill curves from mountain ranges so on the GC - O’Reillys, Springbrook and Tamborine Mt... soo fun 😃
